Equality Act – Where Shall We Stand?

Nancy Pelosi has introduced a new bill called The Equality Act which will cause churches to have to make a decision. This act would protect LGBTQ+ from all forms of “discrimination” under the Law, including the churches, in that churches would probably be unable to preach against the LGBTQ+ lifestyle as sin or tell people they cannot work in the churches because of their lifestyle. If this act passes, churches will have to make a choice to side with this law, or face fines or possible imprisonment under hate crimes legislation. What this will probably do is force the churches out of the million dollar buildings and into the public square, from designed sanctuaries to legitimate heart worship. This will, if passed, cause some persecution and sifting in the church, which will bring about great revival. Closed buildings and open churches will be the probable result.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24:15 (KJV)

We have had so much light in America, and have wasted it. The Church has become commercialized by it’s leaders, and they look more to the money situation than they do the eternity we are to call people to prepare for. But, this is now a wakeup call to the believers to make the choice of whom they will serve. This is a wakeup call to leaders to repent of worrying about doors open and instead be concerned about going forth to preach the Gospel as Jesus commanded. Buildings and edifices may be shuttered and closed, but the real will continue preaching & teaching the unadulterated, uncompromised Word of God without hesitation no matter the cost.

But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. Acts 4:19-20 (KJV)

The early church had no church buildings, no million dollar sanctuaries, and nothing to lose. They were threatened with death and loss of everything for preaching this Gospel, and they chose Jesus over the world. The world’s religion is one of compromise, of lies, and it demands we conform. Progressive Christianity is a cancer on the planet and it will welcome the Equality Act. But, the true people of God will not bow, will not bend, and will not worship of the golden calves of government. As believers, we will not bow to the lies of conformity to sin. As Joshua said, as Peter & John said, God is whom we will serve in pure conscience, no matter what.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20 (KJV)

I refuse, as will every true Christian, every true Apostolic, to call evil good, sin righteousness, abominations normal. I refuse to compromise on what nailed Christ to the Cross. The government can take all away from me. I choose to stand with the Word of God, and come what may, I cannot come down off of this wall, and I will not shut up.  Outlawing the truth will only make true believers outlaws of the world. As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord.
